You are invited to “Homegrown at The GIFT” -- Saturday, May 29, 2021.

The GIFT (Grow. Inspire. Feed. Teach.) is a community garden project created to bring people of all backgrounds together in a convivial setting.

On the campus of The Episcopal Church of theResurrection in North Austin, Rev. Billy Tweedie and Resolution Gardens’ Randy Jewart have partnered-up to create a public project open to both religious and non-religious people. The GIFT is an opportunity to engage in regenerative food production, preparation and distribution with song, beauty, friendship, and spirit.

10am-12pm Garden work
12pm-1pm Social Hour
1pm-2pm Conversation

All ages welcome.

We welcome you to attend any portion of this gathering. Come in the morning and help on site. Bring a lunch and join us for social hour, music and beverages at noon. Stay awhile and participate in our first-ever “Homegrown at TheGIFT” conversation, 1pm-2pm. We’ll be recording theconversation for future broadcast.

Conversation Topic: “Why The GIFT?”

We’ll interview GIFT co-founders, Rev. Billy Tweedie and Randy Jewart for about 30 minutes and then open up for a town hall type discussion. The GIFT hopes to better connect to local justice, community, health, interfaith, and environmental advocates, as well as to a greater relationship with the Earth and what we eat.

If you can't make it the 29th, you can drop by the garden and walk through anytime you're in the neighborhood.  We do community workday every Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
